Thanks, could of warned me though, as the shock has made me go all Funny-er than normal... :o)
Yeah, with you on that one ...
My heart is bad. I could pop off at any time. You just have to make peace with your maker and have your affairs in order.
NO WAY?? Really? Na you is as tuff as olde boots, you know the sayin, A creaking gate stands the longest :O)
I just had the results of an exhocardiogram, and spent the weekend crying. It's a very poor prognosis. (around 40 to 50% are dead within five years of diagnosis) I am going to cooperate with nature by going vegan and salt free, and doing what exercise i can. I am actually having heart failure, and have been for a long time, but I didn't realise it. I have a lot of smaller things - 3 leaky heart valves, etc. I have pulmonary hypertension, and severe diastolic dysfunction, as well as enlargement of parts of my heart. I have pushed myself for years, and no-one really believed how tired I felt. Much has been caused by high blood pressure, some maybe from medication, and of course, I smoked heavily for years and have neglected my body. You reap what you sow. I am upset, but what can I do? Nature does tend towards self-repair if you give it the right things to work with, so maybe I can lengthen my days a bit. I'm seeing the heart specialist in a couple of weeks.
And who are you sayin' is creakin, noisy bones?
Yeah well, if you read it fast its not much, you can fix that little bit of trouble easy, giving up the smoking is a massive step in the right direction. I am 53 years old, i gave up smoking 3 years ago now and are only just starting to feel the benefits, less colds and sniffles, hardly ever get a bad chest, taste food better, better sense of smell, I really believe that smoking is the major cause of health problems, but while your feeling fine and smoking you tend to believe you are invincible,But it gets you in the end sadly as i myself found out and as usual, the hard way , I hope you can overcome your problems, lets face it Dezzie who else will talk to me :O)
True. I has a penchant for nut - er - interestin' men. *phew! that was lucky! I don't think he heard me...*
Well, I stopped smoking in about 1996, and it was the best thing I ever did. But the high blood pressure hit me a few years later (well, it was diagnosed then - I may have had it for a long time). That does run in families. One of my sisters was on medication for it in her 20s.
So, whatcherbeendoin?
Huh,, as i am a interesting man, a knowledgeable man, a honest man, i shall tell you what i has been doin, i has been travelling up the west coast of Wales taking the odd picture here and there, a lovely warm day today, loads on the beach, yet only took half a dozen images, things did just not click into place today, never mind always tomorrow. more important, hows the Bell of rgbstock com today well i hope :O)
Ah, well, I don't know how she is, but I yam fine, thaks fer arstin'. I just slept all afternoon. My son phoned and woke me, thank goodness. He has his girls with him for Father's Day (I don't know when you guys celebrate it, but I know it's different in the US). They were whispering on the phone that they made him something at school, but it's secret. Oh, to be 6 yrs old again! LOL
Well, naw yew hask, if you know whoo your father iz here in UKland we sellobrate it every day, but most the people eye no's are right Bastards, I did nows one fella with a father once but he felt the odd one out and hemagrated to Oztralia....
Well, I knows who mine is. He used to deliver milk...
Ha, yeah Mr daily , and we wonder why nearly all milkmen whistle while the work!
I haven't seen a real live milkman for a long time. We had one on the Sunshine Coast, but he didn't really do house to house, although he delivered milk to my agency. People are too dishonest these days. They'd swipe the milk from your porch. As a child I remember the milkman coming around with the big milk cans, and you'd bring your container out, and he'd fill that and charge you accordingly.
We still have milkmen over here,

That was popular here, too, when it came out! LOL
I have to get to bed. I slept for so long that I'm not very tired, but if I don't go soon, I'll feel rotten tomorrow. I blame you.
Well,,,,,,,You might as well blame me, everyone else does :O(
A victim, you is. An all porpoise victim. They is always handy to have around. Saves anyone takin' responsibility for their own actions. And now look what you done - you burnt the tea!
Was me yes, burnt chicken and garlick pie with fluffy pastries burnt on the edges, all my fault, but still headable, i,ll do a nice side salad mmmm!
Since I have stopped meat completely, I shall have the sald, please. You know, I don't miss the meat very much, but I miss my salt! I will get used to it, I know. I'm trying all sorts of herbs and spices, and finding some that are flavoursome. But a tomato is just a tomato without salt. I am eating bread and some packaged things, so I am getting salt, but I can't afford to slather my food with it like I did.
What's interesting is the amount of variety when you cut out the meat. I had some patties today made out of leftover oatmeal - with quinoa, barley and something else in it - hazlenut meal and almond meal, onion, garlic and some mixed herbs, rolled in flour and fried in a tiny bit of oil. It was actually quite nice. I had it with frozen veges (I was lazy). I really enjoyed it, even though the oatmeal was too soggy. Next time I'll try it with dry ingredients. I have had to make tomato sauces, as I can't find a substitute in gravy for salt. There has to be something out there.
The research is that a completely plant-based diet will reduce your cholesterol and plaque from your arteries dramatically within about 40 days (as I remember), particularly if you use a fair bit of soy protein. I haven't had a lot of that yet, but I am planning my meals and eating a very balanced menu. Except tonight. I made a custard out of soy milk and cornflour and had it with timmed fruit. That was my meal! LOL I'm generally being good, though. But I'll tell you what, vegan food gives you wind. ALL the time! It is socially difficult. I am hoping it might settle down a bit, but in the meantime, strike no matches in my vicinity.
Its strange but i have never been a big meat eater, i have never wanted 16oz steaks, T bone or anything else, my eldest daughter Linzy cooks a real mean beef joint and when invited to her home for a Sunday roast i will eat some of that, not huge amounts but a little, my Hercules heel is Mackerel with cracked black pepper, side salad toms/onions/the odd leaf here n there, Rye bread and dare i say it lashings of butter on me bread, SLURP! see thats what i want now/ nay Need, i need it now, why does food make you feel hungry WHY WHY WHY !!!
LOL Because it's so darn pleasurable. You have to have a little of the drug, and they expect you to control it!
I used to love roasted lamb. With baked potato, pumpkin and onion, and boiled peas and gravy - or maybe broccoli instead. Never liked mint with it. Now I can hardly swallow meat anyway, and I find I am losing my taste for it. i was having some chicken, and the odd meat pie (with peas and a topping of mashed potato - Yumm! But I have to help my health out, and I need to develop a taste for what's good for me. All meat - chicken and fish included - is high in cholesterol, and that makes your body make even more, for some reason. So a lean cut of meat might reduce the calories, but it will still harm your cholesterol. I miss things, but I am genuinely enjoying the variety of food.
Me Ma said eat to your hearts content, eat everything you want to, but eat it in moderation, and that is how i have eaten through my life so far, I was 10 stone until i was injured at work, i then started to put weight on as i can not exercise like i use to, BUT, must carry on going until the story ends, i still walk taking my friend Nikon with me and if I,m lucky sometimes my partner, make her buy the ice creams :O)
Nothing quite like sweets or an ice cream when you have been walking. I used to go walking with my son's school teacher. We'd do quite a lot of distance. But at the point where we would return, there was a corner store. We would always duck in and buy a handful of lollies. They were the sweetest and most enjoyable lollies I'd had in years! LOL
I was fit in those days. Walking every day and roller skating three times, at least, per week. And I worked in a labouring job, packing and lifting boxes in a warehouse. You wouldn't want to cross me in those days!
Bet you was as fit as a butchers dog wont ya Ehh, i just done about a 2 mile walk, 1.30 pm ere so fancied a herb bread roll and some egg mayonnaise, tasted divine, me legs are tingling now and me new clarks walking boots a killing me feet, but i,m happy :O)
I couldn't walk even one kilometre these days. Bad, eh?
