You can only change ONE letter, AND/OR rearrange the letters currently available. The first word is:

WINS

Summer in the antipodes still has a few more weeks to go so

nope

there will be no relief just yet.

I would send you some of our Brit rain to cool you down if I could. We've had so much of it we wouldn't miss some of it.

11931. xymonau22 February 2016, 10:57 GMT +01:00

It's too hot, or I'd hibernate and get you to

poke

me in the ribs and wake me for the start of autumn. We've HAD a bit of your rain here in recent weeks. Gloomy and damp and it can't decide when to have a cloudburst. At least the tank is full. Fresh, sweet water - probably with an avian faecal count right off the scale, but what the eye don't see, the heart don't grieve.

11932. Ayla8722 February 2016, 11:05 GMT +01:00

Lynne, you made something wrong. Now all that rain was delivered to Berlin and they tell us, we have to expect as much in two days as we would normally get in the whole month. It seems that I have to dig out some swimming equipment. It is not sufficient to scare the rain away when I try to

pose

in it.

11933. weirdvis22 February 2016, 12:21 GMT +01:00

Hmmmm. A slight miscalculation on my part. Perhaps this

post

will correct the mistake.

If not you'll have to break out your wellies and brollies.

11934. Ayla8722 February 2016, 12:23 GMT +01:00

We'll see. I'm waving with my brolly the whole day already. Seems not to look impressive enough either. Doesn't

stop

anything.

11935. xymonau22 February 2016, 15:57 GMT +01:00

Your umbrella makers will have to

step

up to the level of ours. We can face a tropical cyclone with just a brolly and a sneer.

11936. gesinek22 February 2016, 17:05 GMT +01:00

We don't need brollies, they don't work good here because of the wind. Only wellies, a hood and something to hold tight on .

Then you need an anchor to stop you being blown away.

Here, try this one for

size

Chucks anchor.

11938. Ayla8723 February 2016, 6:12 GMT +01:00

Thank you for the anchor. Caught it and will keep it at the

side

of my desk as a light paperweight. Will report if it stops anything from being blown away when I sneeze next time.

11939. xymonau23 February 2016, 13:50 GMT +01:00

I thought someone must have performed an

edit

on the above post, because I thought you threw the anchor to Gesine. Trust Michael to steal her anchor! I'll bet he has intercepted all the chocolate I threw as well!

11940. gesinek23 February 2016, 16:15 GMT +01:00

No anchor in my amazon prime delievery today. But now I know where it has landed.

find an

exit

from this situation Michael.

11941. xymonau23 February 2016, 17:22 GMT +01:00

He might need a getaway

taxi

when you arrive to collect it, Gesine.

11942. Ayla8724 February 2016, 6:31 GMT +01:00

*munch*, *chew* That chocolate was lovely, thank you, Dez. Just tell us when you have to throw something away again.

I may try to hide now behind Mimis bushy

tail

before Gesine stops by.

11943. weirdvis24 February 2016, 11:41 GMT +01:00

We do tell some very

tall

stories don't we.

:D

11944. xymonau24 February 2016, 12:08 GMT +01:00

A tall

tale

is always the best tale.

11945. weirdvis24 February 2016, 21:03 GMT +01:00

Yes, compared to ours all others

pale

into insignificance.

11946. Ayla8725 February 2016, 6:46 GMT +01:00

It is always the right decision to

lead

when you can do something very good.

11947. xymonau25 February 2016, 19:04 GMT +01:00

Doing good will make you

land

on the right side of the law, as a general rule.

11948. Ayla8726 February 2016, 7:35 GMT +01:00

That sounds okay to me, but there are also times when I would prefer to land on a nice

lawn

and have the chance to relax.

11949. weirdvis26 February 2016, 13:13 GMT +01:00

A nice chance to relax and

yawn

as you fall asleep.

I'd like to do that but no time today.

11950. xymonau26 February 2016, 16:43 GMT +01:00

There are many

ways

to help fall asleep - none of which work. I have so much trouble sleeping these days. Having a day bed outside in the shade when it gets cooler sounds very inviting.

11951. micromoth26 February 2016, 19:41 GMT +01:00

A day bed? I'll

swap

night work for that any time. ;-)

11952. xymonau26 February 2016, 20:08 GMT +01:00

Of course, outside there is the odd

wasp

and other insect to fend off. Not to mention the poisonous snakes and drop bears.

11953. micromoth26 February 2016, 21:44 GMT +01:00

Yes, you do have to watch out for the

paws

of those drop bears!
