Has anyone read the description of average rgbstock users on Alexa? I had to laugh...
".... Compared with internet averages, the site's users are disproportionately female, and they are disproportionately more educated, low-income users aged 25–35 and 55–65 who have more children."
Are we also disproportionately low-income users?
Hiya Don!
January 14 2010- snapshot how we looked in the Alexa Wayback Machine.
http://web.archive.org/web/20100114102637/http://www.rgbstock.com/
Impressive the growth! Now we have 5 times more images and 230 times more users!
A blast from the past. We certainly have moved ahead in leaps and bounds.
Better and better:

We just dropped about 5,000 websites on the list. We're real close to the 50,000 mark.
Sites leading in at 577. http://screencast.com/t/Rax6HbqHMQL
Alexa stats seem to jump instead of showing gradual variations on a daily basis.
We are making headway. Getting below 50,000 is a milestone the way I see it.
That's a long way from the 6 to 7 million we started out from. :)
And a lot of work to get there, too. It has paid off.
Today we came in under 50,000 for the first time!!
Wow! That's something! We are still unusualy uneducated
"...site's audience tends to be female; they are also disproportionately moderately educated users..."
but who cares! :)
Well, we're doing quite well for moderately educated people, aren't we?
They don't know about your Diploma, otherwise... ;-)
Oh, of course! Well, I've certainly lifted the tone around here, haven't I? Next time it will say, "Moderately educated people plus one genius"! LOL
Genius or not (and I'm not arguing, lol!), I see that currently we're averaging 150 new users per day and will soon tip the 50,000 users mark. This is brilliant news by anyone's standards.
It shows what a great joint effort can achieve, doesn't it? We are all contributing to attract the downloaders, and it's working.
This is the third day running under 50,000 on Alexa.
Looks like our current rate of activity is enough to advance us through the pack and keep us under the 50,000 mark.
I'm pretty stoked about it.
OMG, what happened to the children ???
Because now Alexa says: "..its audience tends to be female; it also appeals more to moderately educated, childless users under the age of 35 who browse from home."
An my age group dissapeared also.. and the incomes I could only dream of...
Oh Sanja, I think that's only the way life works:
- children either go to play elsewhere or grow out of the house
(perhaps Alexa missed a compensating increase in pets instead?)
- money always vanishes faster than you can run after it,
- and we better won't talk about age questions ;)

I must be invisible. And so is my money!
Hey, we show 21 more sites linking in. :)
We change, Alexa thinks. We get older and not sitting in front of the computer at home anymore but at work...Here is what it says now:
"Compared with the overall internet population, its audience tends to be female; it also appeals more to moderately educated, childless users under the age of 45 who browse from work...."
Hmm, we still don't think much about education or parenting joys...
Would all those fitting that description, please raise their hands? LOL
I object to the dumbing down. And they can hand my child back right now!
Well, i am not a female :(.
I'm sorry, but Alexa says you are.
I'm not quite female either . . . . and with my university degree I dont really find myself uneducated either. I have two kinds and I am 50 years old.
Maybe I should call it quits before I confuss the minds at Alexa . . . . . . .
