I have been sharpening wood cutting chisels and blades and I have cut myself in several places. I finally got them all sharp and ready for use. It's been a long while since I have made stuff from wood but now I am prepared.
I love woodwork. I can't do it, but I just love the stuff. It's worth hacking bits off yourself to be a creative genius. What do you plan to make, Cris?
I am going to start with some small decorative boxes to get some practice making proper joints with the router table. Then I will be making picture frames and I need a microwave stand. Workspace, cost and available tools limit what I can do now.
I hope to get some good woodworking stock photos too.
Yes! Take photos of every step. I think you're going to have some great images.
Meniere's Syndrome.
So what happened, Mike?
I have it, cant walk in a straight line, dizzy as a fruit bat, was fine one minute then sick and dizzy the next, very strange i tell you :O(
I've had a friend with that in the past. Not as severe most of the time, but she had to stay on medication, and she never really felt well. I'm really sorry.
Me mum had it once in 1982. It was just a temporary bout but I had to drive her around until she got her head straight where she could drive again. Only took a few days.
Ahhh Cris i wish mine would bugger off so i can get n take some photo's GOD i,m in a hell of a mood here Cris.snappin like a croc with toothache mate :O(
Poor thing, Mike. I honestly hope it goes soon. I'll pray for you.
Get well soon, Mike
Bless you, thanks both, I,m on the mend i think, I'll soon be back to my normal/? self..
We have a mysterious mildew smell from our clothes washer that never seems to go away and the washer sits in the area of the house where I stay. I hate the smell of mildew.
Me too Cris, we did get it here once from the same source, what i did was add some bleach to the washer and put it on boil wash, this is what a washer repair guy told me to do, it worked, he said its a bacteria build up as most people never use the boil wash which of course rids the pipework of such things,, Oh Cris, only a tiny amount of bleach or you'll be Kayaking on a sea of foam my friend :O)
Thats what our plumber told us too. We made a boil wash once a month ever since and it worked fine. Now I use something like bleach called Vanish Oxy Action (Reg. TM) on lower temperatures ,e.g. for sportdresses and such smelling clothes and it also works.
And something sad...
My little Lumix is broken. Some electronical error which is too expensive to be fixed. [choke with sobbs].
OMG NOOOOOOOOOOOO! Gesine I,M so sorry, I have a little Panasonic TZ7 and i take it everywhere with me, i know just how attached you can get to a super little camera, have you plans on another? would you stay with panasonic? I think its only right we have a minutes silence for Gesine Lumix..............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
Thank you so much.
I think I'll stay with panasonic, thinking about a used TZ5 cause I can use my battery further on. I think such a little thing don't need megapixel and more megapixel and more... it's just the camera, as you said, you have always in your pocket.
But I loved that little one...
The chlorine in a full tub of hot water for a short cycle just about killed off the smell. Thanks for the tip.
Sorry to hear your little camera Gesine. Much of the time you are better off with a newer model than a repaired old one. Hope you are able to replace it soon.
I can't work on my wood projects until my brother finishes his large oil painting on the garage wall and the paint dries.
He has an art exhibit next month and I need to make him some frames starting sometime soon.
Good luck and an excellent timetable to get allthat things fit.
Can we see pictures of that exhibition?? Sometimes? Somewhere?
I missed the death of your camera, Gesine. Sorry to hear about that. I still prefer the photos from my old Lumix to my Canon - even though the Canon's are better quality. The Lumix adds colour - nicely - and the zoom is fabulous. Plus I can take movies with it. I hope you are able to find another one soon.
Sodium hypochlorite is midew's worst enemy.
And your brother is an amazing artist, Cris. I hope you can show us his stuff - although maybe he doesn't want it seen until after the exhibit?
Bird poo has landed in our swimming pool from the row of trees behind it.
Yes, Dez. I am about to photograph what I made for his exhibit and a painting or two he did for it too.
