600 px photo preference

The new design of the photo pages is fresh and interesting, but I must admit I prefer the version with the larger 600 px previev photo.

I suppose it causes too much traffic to deliver that one as a standard for all users?

I still wonder if it is possible to give us an option to tick on the "Edit profile"-page, something like "always show 600 px size previev photos on the ptoto pages", so that we won't have to click on that extra link to the larger 600 px previev photo every time?
